In this video, Fox News host Tucker Carlson explains just how much of an impact the internet has on our lives. Nearly everyone in the United States has a smartphone. For most people, spending a day without going online is nearly impossible.
According to Carlson, just a handful of companies control almost everything that we see, do or say on the internet. Facebook and Google control the majority of information that people in the U.S. have access to. Both of these companies have a political agenda.
Millions of people use Facebook as a primary news source, making the website the medium through which many Americans understand the world. This is a problem when the company in question is not at all neutral — it has an agenda to promote liberal news media.
Facebook recently made changes to its platform that effectively silenced conservative news sites. After the changes, several large conservative sites including the Daily Wire and PragerU lost considerable traffic. Carlson calls it “ideological warfare.”
Watch Carlson break down the development in the video below.
