Trump Fires Back at Lebron James

On August 3rd, CNN re-aired an interview between LeBron James and Don Lemon. It was an interview that focused largely on the new school for at-risk children that James had built in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. However, it naturally wasn’t long before the interview took a turn for the worst and both men were bashing President Trump.

In response, Trump tweeted out, “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!”

This, of course, ignited yet another firestorm in the media. Don Lemon later tweeted out in response to Trump, “Who’s the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?”

Most Americans, however, have grown tired of this back and forth between the media and the president. They’re certainly tired of the media bashing President Trump at every turn, but many have grown tired of President Trump punching back as well. While it’s understandable for President Trump to want to respond when he is openly attacked from all sides, exchanging insults with an NBA player does little to move the country forward.
