This Democratic Darling is MUCH More Dangerous Than You Think
Months ago, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the butt of every joke on almost every conservative website — including this one. Now that she’s Representative Ocasio-Cortez, however, the situation is a bit different.
Yes, “AOC” says a lot of dumb things. Yes, her idea that taxying the rich to death will lead us all to prosperity is a tried and true way to destroy our economy. And yes, her identity politics pandering is more than a bit annoying.
All of these things are true, and commentators and political rivals in Congress would do well to pounce on them. But make no mistake — this representative is a threat Republicans need to take seriously.
Remember — Democrats scoffed and laughed at conservative Americans when they made some billionaire real estate tycoon from TV the Republican nominee for president. Major newspapers were reporting on Hillary Clinton’s victory before votes were even cast. Remember how satisfying her defeat was? It was satisfying because, more than anything, they didn’t expect it. Donald Trump was the sleeper hit.
Say what you want about AOC and her antics — she’s popular, and that’s a problem.
