Despite the fact that movie theater ticket sales are in the toilet, and just about every media award show sets new record lows for the ratings each consecutive year, washed up celebrities are still convinced that average Americans deeply care about their opinions.
One of these people is hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg, who seems to be more famous for his affinity for the cannabis plant than his actual music these days. As his latest publicity stunt demonstrated, Snoop doesn’t have any plans to change this image any time soon.
In what the rapper is calling a protest against President Donald Trump, Snoop Dogg posted a video of himself smoking a blunt — that is, a cigar filled with marijuana — in front of the White House. The “protest” included the astute intellectual breakdown of the administration’s policies: “f**k the president.”
The fact that Snoop feels that his use of marijuana is a form of protest against Trump is peak stupidity. For one, President Trump actually breaks ranks with many other Republicans on cannabis. During his 2016 campaign, the billionaire actually spoke in favor of recreational marijuana. After taking office, the administration has largely left states that have legalized marijuana alone. The most anti-pot part of the Trump Administration was undoubtedly the hardliner Attorney General Jeff Sessions — whom Trump just fired.
Technically speaking, Trump is actually the most pro-pot president in American history. But, don’t let that get in the way of your virtue signaling, Snoop Dogg…
