Face it — at least part of you was expecting this to happen eventually.
After essentially ruining Halloween by suggesting that dressing up as a character even kind of outside your assigned culture was basically terrorism, the professionally offended have now turned their sights on December holidays. That’s right — nothing is sacred, and no one is safe.
In a move eerily similar to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s use of the word “peoplekind” instead of “mankind” (ignoring the fact that “humankind” is already in the dictionary), some liberals are now pushing the idea that calling humanoid figures made out of snow “snowmen” is sexist.
Just think about this — these people literally had nothing better to do, and are deeply worried that clumps of ice might be misgendered. This is reality in 2018.
So, if you’re out and about taking advantage of the colder weather with your children or grandchildren, just remember that there are people out there that will have a serious problem with you making snowmen. Perhaps they would feel better if you stuck a pink pussy hat on top of it, but let’s be real — they’ll probably find something to complain about that too.
