There are many ideas and phrases that the far left has twisted into something vile and deplorable — almost always with the intent of outcasting anyone who uses these phrases and ideas in a positive way. The latest ideology that the left has set its sights on, though, is the most disturbing attack that they have launched so far — an attack on the very idea of western civilization.
Western civilization is something that former vice president and 2020 presidential hopeful Joe Biden recently compared to white supremacy, and many on the left are jumping aboard the bandwagon. Like so many other harmless ideas and phrases, the left is now twisting the idea of western civilization into something that is racist and bigoted.
The reality is, though, that western civilization remains the freest and most prosperous type of civilization that the world has ever known. No other type of civilization grants its people more liberty and protects them from discrimination better than western civilization, and this is something that is true even for the most discriminated against groups of people. Whatever alternative to western civilization that those on the left are pushing for, history has shown us that there is a good chance that it will fail in the most catastrophic of ways.
