The NBA Caves in to Communist China

Greed is a powerful thing – powerful enough, apparently, to make a once-proud American organization bend over backward in an effort to please a communist dictatorship.

Unable to resist the untold amounts of potential profit presented by the almost 1.4 billion-strong audience in China, the NBA is now going out of its way to please a very demanding Chinese government – and angering plenty of American viewers in the process.

The controversy started when the coach of the Houston Rockets tweeted out his support for protestors in Hong Kong. Eager to avoid upsetting the Chinese government, the powers-that-be in the NBA were quick to shut down the coach’s comments. Since then, the NBA has gone out of its way to avoid upsetting the Chinese government on numerous occasions.

Keep in mind that this is the same NBA that was all too happy to support its players and coaches who were bashing Donald Trump. Speaking out against China, however, is apparently more than the NBA is willing to allow.
