We have to give socialists credit for one thing: they sure are good at making apocalyptic tyranny sound peaceful — at least to college students.
Earlier in September, Democratic presidential candidates gathered to make their case on how they were going to combat climate change if elected. Not surprisingly, one of the most radical ideas of the day came from none other than Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who suggested that women on the other side of the world need to get more abortions to stop the world from ending.
This, of course, is part of the far-left’s dated theory that the planet is just too populated. And, what a better way to bring this over-population down than good, old fashioned eugenics, right?
For anyone who has been living under a rock for the past century, who just sat out whenever World War II was discussed in school, eugenics was the philosophy of the Nazi Party in Germany. It was also supported by the founders of Planned Parenthood in the United States, many of whom (including Margaret Sanger) wanted to use birth control to bring down minority populations. Sadly (and ironically), this is exactly what Planned Parenthood does today — with black would-be mothers being vastly over-represented at these so-called clinics.
So, how hard was it to get impressionable college students to support these same fascist policies? Apparently, all they needed was to be told that Bernie Sanders also supports it.
