Enjoy Comedy? Leftists Want to Ruin That For You, Too

If you enjoy having a laugh at off-color jokes, you should be paying close attention to what the progressive left is doing to stand-up comedy.

Most entertainers who call themselves comedians these day are anything but. Late night hosts who depend on their producers telling live audience members when to laugh spend much more time virtue signaling to lonely liberals around the country that they hate President Donald Trump just as much as they do.

True comedians — individuals who are willing to break social norms and cultural orthodoxy simply for the sake of it — are being purged from entertainment media. One of the latest victims is Norm MacDonald of Saturday Night Live fame.

MacDonald had his planned appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show cancelled following an interview where he dared to suggest that the #MeToo movement might have lost its focus a little bit. He also stood up for fellow comedian Roseanne Barr, which is definitely a no-no.
