Moving quickly to dispute everything they can after the bombshell release of a memo implicating former President Barack Obama’s FBI with surveillance overreach, Democratic lawmakers are preparing to release a document of their own.
While details are still emerging, the opposition’s memo claims the links between surveillance abuse and the Hillary Clinton campaign are not as clear as the GOP would have the American people believe. The vote by Democrats to release their own memo comes after party leaders vehemently opposed the Republican effort to do the same thing.
At this point, it’s hard to say exactly how another memo release will change the public’s perception of the Trump-Russia probe. As that investigation continues to fail identifying any links between the Trump campaign and the Russia government, the American people are beginning to lose patience.
