Cover Up? Feds Have New Questions About Uranium One Deal
A new report indicates federal officials have concerns about the credibility of the confidential FBI informant on the Uranium One Case.
William Douglas Campbell is said to have confidential information involving Hillary Clinton and her role in the highly publicized deal with Russia. However, a recent report from Yahoo News says that there are serious issues with the credibility of Campbell and in fact, he “was considered so unreliable that prosecutors dropped him as a witness in an unrelated case involving Russian uranium sales.”
In the past, the FBI used Campbell as an undercover informant, who wore a wire during his conversations with Russian officials. It was said that he proved to be a “disaster” of a potential witness in the case due to doubts about his descriptions of events that they could not be document, so he was dismissed as a witness.
According to Campbell’s attorney, Victoria Toensing, this is a total cover up by the Obama administration. Toensing indicates this was not the reason Campbell was removed from serving as a witness against Mikerin at all, and blames it on the fact that the Obama administration didn’t want to bring an extortion case against Russia and risk revealing Campbell’s testimony that would have thwarted the president’s efforts to “reset” relations with Russia.
