The Democrats are failing spectacularly. As a party, they are totally unhinged, completely off kilter, and entirely out of touch with the American people.
After the twice elected Barack Obama, they thought they would continue winning forever. They just thought that they owned Washington, apparently. This is why when Hillary lost to Trump, they could not believe it.
It could be that they simply could not accept that their most trusted news sources could have been so wrong or so deceptive. Maybe, they just couldn’t believe that anyone would vote for a white man for any reason other than some form of bigotry. They don’t understand the simple and unavoidable math which tells us that at least 20% of people who voted for Trump voted for Barack Obama at least once.
They could realize this, but that would make it impossible for them to accuse you of being a Grand Dragon in the KKK.
But many people who previously considered themselves Democrats are having realizations of this very sort. They are seeing for themselves that the Democratic party controls people through fear and hatred. And they are leaving.
Some of the most dramatic losses to the ranks of the Dems are black voters. The left has always taken blacks for granted and sold them a bill of goods in exchange for their votes.
