New York Times Claims American Pride is “Outdated”

The New York Times recently published a video op-ed detailing why America is supposedly not a great country. The video certainly doesn’t make a very good argument for its case, twisting the facts and relying on emotional appeal rather than real data. However, it’s the fact that the New York Times felt the need to publish such a video in the first place that is concerning.

Unfortunately, the New York Times isn’t alone in its anti-American sentiment. At the same time their embarrassing video was being published, Nike was busy pulling American flag shoes from its product line and the US women’s soccer team was busy bashing the country they are paid to represent. This all leads us to an unfortunate question – have Americans lost pride in their country?

For the majority of Americans, the answer is no. For a very vocal and publicized minority of Americans, though, pride in our country has been replaced by a hatred of America and all that it stands for.

This hatred of America has been carefully fanned by a leftist agenda that prioritizes globalism ahead of nationalism and leftist leaders that would prefer to focus on the sins of our country’s past rather than the promise of our future. The result is a group of Americans who are Americans only by location, and who no longer have our country’s best interests at heart.
