A man sat down with his children. They said, “Daddy, why did Donald Trump win the election?”
This is what he told them:
“Darlings, the reason Donald Trump won the election is because this country is divided into people who know they need a free country to live in and those who believe they don’t.
“You see, the people who believe they don’t need a free country to live in, they don’t believe in families — so they don’t mind leaving their families. They have jobs that they do not need to stay in one place to do- so they are not afraid of having strangers come to where they are.
“But what’s really scary, children is that these people also don’t understand that there are some people who do believe in families and cannot leave the place where they earn their livings. The people who can move believe those people are not as good as they are. They believe they are bad people. So the people who can move around do not care about the people who cannot move around.”
The man’s children were becoming impatient. They asked, “But what does that have to do with Donald Trump?”
The man replied, “Donald Trump promised not to let the people who can move take away the protection that the law promises to the people who cannot move. Donald Trump promised to take care of those people. And because there are more people who cannot move than people who can- those who can’t elected Trump.”
