Being a boy in an American school can be a serious liability at an early age, according to a revealing video released by Prager U.
While this concept may initially seem counter-intuitive, consider this: how many male role models are young boys exposed to during their formative years? Which gender seems to dominate the classroom — and which is typically written off as distracting, hyperactive, or something related?
It’s certainly true that young girls face pressures that boys and young men will never fully understand, but the opposite also holds true.
In the classroom, young masculine energy is often cast off as a mental disorder, resulting in vast over-prescription of mind-altering drugs. Young boys are also disciplined in the classroom far more frequently, typically in more humiliating fashion than their female counterparts.
