U.S. Air Strike Kills 150 ISIS Terrorists

While many federal employees were in distress over potentially being forced to work for weeks without pay due to the Democrat-led government shutdown, U.S. armed forces used their free time to do their job.

Over the weekend, American military pilots conducted one of the largest air strikes against the Islamic State in roughly a year. According to official reports, the strike led to the deaths of around 150 ISIS fighters.

While the attack is definitely a sign that the Trump administration is approaching the ISIS threat entirely differently than its predecessor, it underscores the fact that the Islamic State — while visibly weakened — is still active.

U.S. Armed Forces have done little to engage ISIS fighters on the ground, aside from small deployments designed to supplement, train, and assist allied groups in the region. However, the impact of U.S.-led airstrikes against the terror group cannot be understated.
