Trump’s Message Right Before the Midterms
The midterm elections are right at a month away. While every election is important, these midterm elections mark a serious turning point in US politics. Either Democrats will take control of Congress, giving them the ability to stonewall Trump’s every single action for the rest of his presidency, or Republicans will retain control, allowing the progress that Trump has made thus far to continue for at least the next two years.
If anyone recognizes the importance of this election, it’s President Trump. In an attempt to energize the Republican base for one of the final times before the midterms, Trump issued a stern, moving message about just how much this election means.
From the Democrats’ actions against Kavanaugh to tax cuts and the economy to the immigration crisis, there was certainly plenty for the President to talk about. He discussed the economic progress that will stop and the dangerous policies that will commence if the Democrats are given control of Congress.
Heading into these all-important midterms, Republican voters need to understand just what’s at stake, and the goal of Trump’s speech was let us all see a glimpse of what could happen if Republican voters stay home on November 26th.
