Thanksgiving is one of the most beautiful, most spiritual, and most American holidays ever created. Just short of Armistice Day, it is more humane and more loving than just about any other holy day we can think of.
Not only is Thanksgiving a deeply American holiday, it’s also deeply spiritual and deeply religious. It is intensely Christian. But interestingly, the virtue of thankfulness, gratitude, of appreciation is a virtue in every major religion. If that tells us anything, it’s that something divine has impressed the value of giving thanks on the hearts of all humans everywhere.
We don’t know about you, but we think that’s beautiful. Thanksgiving is about being grateful for the bounty that God makes possible, for the love and the lives of the people around us, and for the work and the sacrifice made by our families and by those who have gone before us.
But the Left wants us to believe that Thanksgiving is racist. They will tell you that it is a celebration of conquest and of gluttony. And they will tell you that it is evil. To this, we have only one response- Screw them!
In a few days, Louder With Crowder will post their latest installment of the “Change My Mind” series. This time, Steven will debate the idea that Thanksgiving is, in fact, not racist.
We just want to take this moment to offer our thanks to Steven Crowder for doing this. We think it’s important for the national discussion, and for the health of our democracy.
