The White House Counterattack on Impeachment has Begun
Over the course of the impeachment hearings, President Donald Trump has, by and large, bided his time and set on the sidelines. So far, this has been a perfectly effective strategy, as the Democratic Party has done more to damage their own cause over the past few weeks than anything Trump could have said.
Following Trump’s recent appearance on “Fox and Friends”, though, it’s safe to say that the president is finally ready to go on the offensive, and the White House counterattack on impeachment has begun.
During the interview, Trump slammed the impeachment process, ridiculed the lack of evidence that Democrats have managed to produce so far over the process of bringing forward nine different witnesses, and countered several of the main points that House Democrats brought up during the hearings.
Though House Democrats may end up calling more witnesses, it appears for now that the impeachment hearings are wrapping up, leaving Pelosi and her party to decide whether they will move forward with articles of impeachment. Now that all the cards seem to be on the table, though, President Trump is ready to start firing back.
