More Proof Today’s Liberals Have NO Sense of Humor At All

There are a number of negative psychological consequences of self deception. The first among them is an unnaturally strong attachment to whatever it is the person has convinced himself of. The second is the wasting of excess mental energy which is siphoned off by the need to constantly remind one’s self what to believe despite good sense and clear facts. The third unfortunate consequence of lying to one’s self is having to enforce the false world view through wrong action.

When you can’t back up your claims with robust arguments – the only viable responses are slander and violence. Don’t get it twisted. Slander and violence work. They always have and they always will. These are things we have to be ever vigilant against and call them out whenever we see them.

But it will help to understand that this is why the Left has lost its sense of humor. Being humorless is not a fixed feature of leftist thinking. They have become humorless because their anti-Trump mania has forced them to willfully lie to themselves. That’s why their memes suck and their late night comedy is the same joke told in different ways. That’s why they are still offended by the wildly successful NPC meme.

The left has lost its sense of fun, and it’s sad. We hope they get it back, because we’re trying to have a society here.
