What the left wants to do to freedom of speech is truly nefarious, and we’ll explain why.

First off, the minds behind English Common Law and our Founding Fathers made it quite clear that the ability to speak, debate, and reason with each other is the only hope we have of avoiding political violence.

There are biological analogs to this like the divide in the brain between the two hemispheres. The less communication there is between the hemispheres, the less functional and the more pathological the person becomes — but we digress.

So, what the left is trying to do is equate speech with violence. They want you to believe that, like sticks and stones, words do indeed hurt. This is truly evil. The reason this is truly evil is that if speech is considered to be violence- then real violence can be legitimately used to counter it.

Now, we naturally know that this is wrong. Reasonable people know they can be provoked to violence by egregious and repeated insult. We know, if we say horrible things, we may receive some lumps. However, we also know that if we respond to words with violence, no matter how terrible those words are, then we are still the guilty party.

The left wants to do away with all this because they want the right to respond to your speech with violence. They are doing their best to change the culture and the law to normalize this, and they fail to imagine how this could backfire on them.
