How Liberals Destroyed California
Longtime game show host and conservative activist Chuck Woolery joined the Fox & Friends team on March 3 to react to the news that California’s quality of life is a national embarassment.
Woolery enjoys discussing politics and current activities as co-host of the Blunt Force Truth podcast. He appeared on the Fox morning show to give his thoughts on how liberals have created a nightmare in California, a state that was once a dream.
Remember when California thrived under the leadership of a governor named Ronald Reagan? Those dream days have disappeared as local elected officials — even mayors of large cities such as Oakland — openly defy federal laws in their endless quest to provide sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants. As they seem to give preference to illegals over law-abiding citizens, these same liberal politicians also have perpetuated an irrational and unsustainable tax-and-spend cycle that has allowed the Golden State to become a tarnished mess.
Woolery watched California fall into this morass. He lived in southern California for many years while working as a game show host and saw firsthand the long-term effects of overtaxation and careless governing. When talking about escalating property values, aggressive pro-tax policies, and a system that has seriously failed, Woolery reminds viewers that this did not need to happen. Policymakers that were the mentors for modern-day liberals such as Nancy Pelosi started this mess more than 40 years ago. California’s poor quality-of-life rating is just one effect of their failed attempts at governing.
Now a resident of Texas, Woolery hopes that voters in California will turn the tables on this trend. Hear what he had to say in the video below.
