Democrats Losing Their Minds Over Trump’s SCOTUS Pick

When it comes to the Supreme Court, Republicans have been notching one victory after another – to the point that Democrats have become worked up into an outrage over their losses in nominating Supreme Court justices.

It all started when Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans successfully blocked Barrack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee in an effort to hold out until the 2016 election was completed. It’s a victory that wouldn’t have mattered if Clinton had won as expected, but she didn’t, and Trump went on to nominate Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Now that Justice Kennedy is retiring, Trump is going to be able to nominate yet another Supreme Court justice, providing conservatives a reliable majority in the Supreme Court for the first time in fifty years.

Democrats, of course, are gearing up for a fight to block Trump’s nominee. However, with the next Presidential election still years away and Republicans holding a majority in the Senate, it’s questionable how much they are going to be able to accomplish.

This inevitable loss of power in one of the most important branches of government has been enough to drive Democrats into a panic, especially when they consider the possibility of aging justices such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg leaving the Supreme Court and providing Trump with yet another lifelong nomination.
