Democrats Found Vacationing During Government Shutdown

If the government shutdown is truly troubling members of the Democratic Party, they don’t seem to be showing it. In the midst of the longest government shutdown in United States history, prominent Democratic leaders have been spotted vacationing on the beach, relaxing the day away while lower members of the federal workforce go without pay.

It’s easy enough for Democrats to blame the shutdown on President Trump, especially since they are able to rely on the media to go along with this narrative. Yet, keep in mind that it is the Democrats who are choosing to keep the government shut down rather than allotting a relatively insignificant $5 billion for the construction of the border wall.

It isn’t the money or even the wall itself that Democrats take issue with, though. Opposing President Trump and preventing him from fulfilling his most important promise is the true objective of the Democratic party, and that objective is one that they are willing to keep the government shut down indefinitely over. If they’re able to spend a little time relaxing on the beach while counting on the media that they control to continue blaming Trump for the shutdown, then that’s all the better.
