Dear Democrats: Impeachment Doesn’t Count as a Hobby

Do you ever wonder why there was no Democrat effort to impeach President George W. Bush? Why did they go along with the spurious war agenda of that administration while claiming to be vehemently anti-war? Why did they say nothing as Barack Obama approved attacks and had the most aggressive bombing campaign in history — and who was literally at war for every single day of his eight-year presidency?

In President Donald Trump, we have the least warlike president in generations — possibly in history. He is the first president to have the go-button for war right in front of him, being waved at him by bloody-minded hawks with a financial interest in industrial-grade killing, to say ‘no.’

When the human cost of war was presented to Trump, even when it was small, he said no, he said: “It’s not worth it.” So, why are the normally ostensibly anti-war Democrats pushing so hard to impeach Trump and no one else? Well, there are many likely reasons why. But the one thing we know is not part of the motivation for their impeachment agenda is opposition to war.

The Democrats have proven that they are as in bed with the military-industrial complex as any Republican has ever been. We know that they care nothing for the lives of the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who defend their lives — neither do they care for the grieving families of fallen service men and women.

This is about maintaining unearned wealth and power.
