Though the network markets itself as an unbiased, “just the facts” media outlet, CNN has steadily drifted to the left over the past few years. Now, the once-proud network has become one of the worst offenders when it comes to spinning stories, reporting half-truths, and spreading fake news in order to promote a liberal, anti-Trump agenda.
CNN certainly isn’t the only new network or media outlet with a deeply liberal bent. The problem is that CNN is one of the last remaining networks that refuse to admit their bias. MSNBC is a liberal network, and that’s something they stand by. Fox News is a conservative network, and they stand by that as well. Yet, CNN just can’t seem to understand why Americans won’t accept them as a non-partisan champion of accurate and unbiased reporting.
It is this lack of intellectual honesty that makes CNN beyond saving. It’s acceptable, perhaps even admirable, to admit that you are a liberal media outlet and report on stories that are catered to a liberal audience. Conservative media outlets certainly do the same, and there’s no shame in it. However, to continue insisting that you are a sheep when all of America knows that you are a wolf in sheep’s clothing is how you make a mockery of your network and lead it to its doom.
