The Left Apparently Doesn’t Like Obama Anymore

There was a time not too long ago when Barrack Obama was the patron saint of the Democratic Party. If you were to watch the last round of Democratic debates, though, this certainly wouldn’t have been apparent.

Throughout the debate, every candidate on stage except for Obama’s former vice president Joe Biden took the time to attack the former president’s legacy. Considering the fact that Obama soundly won two presidential elections and left office while still fairly popular among Democrats, many of us watching on the outside have been pretty confused.

The reason for these attacks is two-fold. For one, Joe Biden is the frontrunner to win the Democratic nomination, and therefore has a target on his back. Since Biden is inseparably tied to Obama, though, attacking Biden means attacking Obama-era policies.

The second reason why the Democratic party has apparently fallen out of love with Obama is the fact that the party has raced to the far-left, meaning that even Obama is considered a moderate now — yes, really…

In fact, Biden is arguably the only moderate of any importance who is running for the Democratic nomination. Today, both Biden and Obama alike simply are not radical enough to fit in with the party’s new direction.
