Hollywood Pushes Chinese Communist Party Propaganda

For Hollywood, the Chinese market and it’s millions of movie-watchers represents the potential for massive profits. In order to appease the communist Chinese government, and ensure that their movies are not censored in the country, Hollywood has sold its soul.

Examples of Hollywood trying to appease China are numerous, and are especially evident in remakes that have been edited to remove anything that the Chinese government might find disagreeable. Most recently, though, Hollywood has been caught editing parts of “Top Gun” in their remake of the film to avoid drawing the ire of the Chinese government.

In the “Top Gun” remake, Maverick’s iconic jacket no longer features the Taiwanese and Japanese flags. To make matters worse, the film is largely being financed by a Chinese company. Although we only have a trailer of the remake to judge so far, it’s safe to assume that any negative references to China and any positive references to China’s enemies have been removed.

This, of course, is just one small example of how China has wrapped its talons around Hollywood and is using the movie industry to push pro-Chinese and pro-communist propaganda.
