AOC is Being Sued for Blocking Critics on Twitter

Will the same rules that apply to President Donald Trump also apply to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

As it turns out, that could actually be the case. After the freshman representative from New York blocked a couple of followers for committing the high crime of challenging her positions, she ended up with a lawsuit on her hands.

Seriously, the irony here just writes itself — and it’s beautiful.

Not long ago, President Trump faced considerable criticism for blocking people on Twitter — a privately owned social media platform. In turn, critics contended that this was a violation of their Constitutional rights. After all, shouldn’t the president’s constituents have access to him? And isn’t Twitter one of the most effective ways to do that? A federal court agreed, and Trump can’t block people anymore.

There is little doubt in our minds that the young AOC was one of the many progressives who cheered that development. Now, this very same tactic is being used against her. After all…she’s a Representative in Congress — shouldn’t her constituents have access to her?
