Democrats SLAM Joe Biden for Supporting Hyde Amendment

Joe Biden may still be the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination in 2020, but he is already dealing with more attacks from his own party than he is from the GOP.

Biden represents the “old guard” of the Democratic party and everything that it stands for. The progressive wing of the party, however – led by politicians such as Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – would love nothing more than to see these more moderate Democrats run out of office – and Joe Biden is no exception. Now, Biden is under fire from the far-left factions of his own party yet again, this time for supporting the Hyde Amendment.

The Hyde Amendment is a piece of legislation which dictates that federal funds cannot be used to pay for abortions. After reasserting that he continues to support this amendment, though, Biden came under attack. Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and others all jumped on the opportunity to blast Biden for supporting the Hyde Amendment, and now Biden is having to weather yet another storm from his own party.

As the Democratic party moves further and further to the left, it’s getting increasingly difficult to be a “moderate” Democrat like Joe Biden. Fox News has more on the story below.
