No, the GOP Shouldn’t Just ‘Move On’ After the Mueller Report

Now that the Russian collusion investigation has been fully exposed as the witch hunt that most people always recognized it to be, many are calling for the GOP to put the issue in the rearview mirror and move on.

This is an understandable argument, as the entire Russian collusion issue has been a massive waste of time and resources as well as a dark point in our nation’s history. However, the damage has been done, and “moving on” is not the right answer.

A system that allows a sitting President to be harassed and hindered for years over made up charges that were backed by zero evidence is a broken system that desperately needs to be fixed. Those in the justice system that allowed the investigation to stretch on this long must be held accountable. If they are not, investigating a Republican politician into oblivion will remain a viable weapon in the far left’s arsenal.

After a failure as colossal as the Mueller investigation, it’s up to our government to pick up the pieces and figure out what went wrong. Brushing the issue aside and pretending like it did not happen just isn’t enough.
