Did Michelle Obama Get Jussie Smollett Off the Hook?

The court’s decision to drop charges against Jussie Smollett – the actor who manufactured a hate crime in order to stir outrage against supporters of President Trump – left conservatives as well as members of the Chicago PD shocked and bewildered. We’re now learning, though, that former First Lady Michelle Obama may have played a role in helping get these charges dropped.

Text messages between Smollett’s attorney and Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, Tina Tchen have come under scrutiny, leaving many people to wonder if it was Smollett’s powerful connections that led to the charges that were brought against him being dropped. The entire situation – from Smollett’s powerful connections to the judge’s absurd explanation for dropping the charges – is incredibly suspicious.

Fortunately for those who still support justice, Smollett may not be in the clear just yet. The FBI has reportedly taken an interest in the case and is looking into the circumstances that led to Smollett’s charges being dropped.

Whatever the outcome, the idea of a former First Lady stepping in this situation is pretty sickening.
