Top Democrats Call Out Media’s Obsession with Trump

Ever since he first announced his intention to run for President, the media has been absolutely obsessed with Donald Trump. Coverage of President Trump’s every action has been broadcasted around the clock on every major news network, and though the coverage has been overwhelmingly negative, Trump has still managed to cash in on all the free publicity time and time again.

Now, even members of the Democratic Party are growing tired of the media’s obsession with Trump. Whether they’ve realized that the nonstop negative coverage isn’t actually going to hurt his reputation, or they’ve realized that the Democratic Party itself needs to find its own identity beyond bashing the president, some Democrats are finally waking up to the fact that having a media that exists only to complain about things isn’t exactly helpful.

Whether or not the media will listen to these pleas, though, is yet to be seen. After all, this obsession has become the entire business model for news outlets such as CNN, MSNBC, and others. While it may not be a particularly successful business model given the ratings of these outlets, it’s now the only thing they know.

Listen to what some top Democrats had to say about all of this in the video below.
