The University of Minnesota’s chapter of the Young America’s Foundation pushed back against anti-free speech liberals by hosting Conservative icon Ben Shapiro off-campus.
The host of “The Ben Shapiro Show,” editor of the DailyWire.com, best-selling author, attorney and general crusader for conservative American voices, was welcomed by rousing applause in a recent YouTube-posted video.
Shapiro poked fun at the hypocrisy of the university’s free speech policy, noting that the conservative event was basically shuffled to a location away from the main campus and into a venue too small to accommodate the crowd. Several hundred students were denied entrance and put on a waiting list in the interest of campus “safety.”
In the witty, 1-hour and 13-minute video, Shapiro takes the extreme leftists such as Bernie Sander to task over the problems with socialism and explains in an everyday way why capitalism equals freedom. The sharp-minded speaker unravels the many misconceptions about the extreme liberal notion of embracing of Socialism. He runs off a laundry list of facts and ideas about the concept that have hoodwinked naïve college students.
The charismatic rising star went on to intelligently blast the anti-free speech movement that the nation’s university’s have wrapped their arms around. In a free country, Shapiro argues, expressing different views doesn’t justify violence.
