As the 2020 election draws closer, Democrats are quickly running out of time to formulate a platform that will win the support of the American people. In spite of the lessons that the 2016 election should have taught them, though, Democratic politicians remain single-minded in their focus — and that focus is vilifying President Trump.
The Democratic Party has become so absorbed by their hatred of Donald Trump that they have been willing to cast all other matters by the wayside. Every word out of their mouths and every action that they use their power to take is aimed either at obstructing the President’s agenda or damaging his image. Any idea of producing real legislation or coming up with a real plan to move our country forward has been forgotten.
Unfortunately for the Democratic Party, we have already seen that focusing only on vilifying President Trump is a losing strategy. It didn’t work for Hillary Clinton in 2016, and it didn’t work for far-left Democrats in the 2018 midterms either. Now, the Democratic Party only has a few short months left to learn the error of their ways before the strategy of vilifying Trump above all else fails them once again.
