Tucker Carlson is a decent man. Really. A lot of people have been quite surprised to find this out. He has long been seen as a dyed in the wool Republican, an apparatchik for the right-wing, and worse.
Despite the fact that more and more people are coming to see just how reasonable he is, the hostility toward Fox’s prime time news show host is escalating. Tucker has been assaulted on the street with his wife and children. Antifa showed up on his lawn while he was away. They camped on his lawn and made horrifying threats to his wife and children as the Carlsons, minus Tucker, hid in a closet.
Tucker likes President Trump. There’s a lot to like. But he criticizes Trump when he believes that Trump is in the wrong. Like any human being, Trump is not perfect. Tucker is a great example of a Trump supporter who sees the man as a flawed but largely very good president. He’s certainly much better than anything we’ve seen in over 100 years.
Another nice thing about Tucker is, he’s a simple man — and he’ll tell you so. He doesn’t pretend to be a wonk on anything. He just adheres to sound moral and political principle — principle that proves itself out through history.
That’s another nice thing about Tucker. Unlike the Left, he actually knows a little bit about history. Everyone should. It can make the difference between a useful idiot and a qualified voter.
Here’s The DC Shorts with a clip of Tucker’s recent speech.
