Sarah Sanders: Impeaching Trump is Pelosi’s Biggest Mistake Yet

There was a time when it seemed like – against all odds – that Nancy Pelosi was going to make the smart decision. In spite of vocal calls from the more extreme wings of the Democratic Party, Pelosi held her ground for months, insisting that moving forward with impeachment was not in the party’s best interest.

Once the media began to spin a new narrative of Ukrainian collusion, though, and the extremists in the Democratic Party began to cry even louder, and Pelosi finally caved. This will likely be the biggest mistake of her political career.

The Democratic Party has no chance of removing President Trump from office. What they are very likely to do, though, is to make their entire party seem like a failure that puts its own interests ahead of the American people. President Trump realizes this, and he’s been goading House Democrats to move forward with impeachment for some time now.

The truth is that the more Democrats try and fail to make President Trump look guilty, the more selfish and incompetent they come across to American voters. If Trump is reelected in 2020 and the House is handed back to the GOP, Pelosi will have only herself to blame.
