John Bolton Sounds off on Iran Deal and North Korea
A lot has been happening recently amid the Trump Administration on the foreign policy front, as two historic events that could define Trump’s Presidency in a big way took place within weeks of one another.
The first is President Trump’s success in bringing North Korea to the negotiating table – something his predecessors have failed to do for decades. Kim Jong-Un of North Korea has agreed along with the South Korean President Moon Jae-in to denuclearize the Korean peninsula, and bring an end to the war between the two countries that has technically persisted for over sixty years.
Whether Kim Jong-un will live up to his word is something that is yet to be seen, but bringing him to the table alone is a major breakthrough for President Trump.
The second big happening in Trump’s foreign policy is his decision to withdraw the United States from the Iran nuclear deal. This is a decision that has polarized leaders across the world, as many leaders in Europe oppose it while many leaders in the Middle East feel that it was the right decision.
With all of this going on, there was certainly plenty for John Bolton, the president’s national security advisor, to discuss on his recent Fox News interview.
