Gowdy: House Democrats Aren’t Helping ANYONE with Endless Hearings

For House Democrats, the dream of impeaching President Trump took a major blow the day that Robert Mueller released his final report. In spite of the fact that Mueller cleared Trump of any wrongdoing, though, those in the Democratic Party have refused to let that dream die.

While Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has resisted efforts to move forward with impeachment, she did promise at the conclusion of Mueller’s investigation that House Democrats would continue to investigate Trump on their own. Unfortunately, Pelosi has made good on this promise.

Rather than move the country forward by working with Trump and the GOP to create real legislative solutions, the Democrat-controlled House has focused all of its efforts on pointless investigations and hearings. These hearings, however, aren’t helping the Democratic Party, and they certainly aren’t helping the nation at-large.

So far, House Democrats have been unable to turn up even one piece of damning evidence on President Trump. This shouldn’t come as surprise given that Mueller and the FBI have spent the last few years combing through every bit of Trump’s life to no avail. Insistent on finding something that will allow them to impeach Trump rather than beating him in a fair election, though, House Democrats are pushing forward with one futile hearing and investigation after the other.
