Democrat John Conyers Steps Down from Leadership Position

Sexual misconduct has been all over the news the past few months. It seems that this is happening everywhere with a focus on Hollywood as well as the government.

Congress is getting hit just as hard with with these allegations. Charlie Rose was one of the first people to be accused of sexual misconduct in this circle. While he is not in Congress, he has been a journalist for a long time with a lot of connections to the legislature in Washington.

One of the more recent people to be accused is the Michigan representative John Conyers. Just a few years ago, Conyers was caught looking at Playboy while on a major airline. However, even though there may be a connection between this incident and the accused behavior of Conyers, that is not what the focus is right now.

A woman who filed a claim in 2015, when he was 86 years old, against Conyers because she says she was fired due to the fact that she denied his sexual advances. She settled at the time but is now approaching it again.

With this most recent allegation, it appears that Congress is running rampant with sexual misconduct. John Conyers is not the only one with allegations, either. Oliver Stone has been accused and there are sure to be more that come out in the future with other people both in Congress and out.
