Will Melania Trump Enter Politics in the Future?
The First Lady of President Trump’s White House has certainly created her share of controversy in the first months of the new administration. Liberal media was certainly not kind to her, but she has proven her political nad moral acumen time and again. Most recently, as astutely noted by Andrew Klavan, Melania was the only person in the White House able to keep any sort of dignity in front of television cameras this week.
Melania was actually able to turn the Warren gaffe into a lecture on true cultural pride. Her political and moral victory came in the form of a statement showcasing her love of her Slavic heritage (which is obviously a true fact about her, unlike Warren’s claims of Cherokee). However, she did not turn her advantage into what could have been termed a racial event by proclaiming Slavic “superiority” or anything of the sort. She tempered her comments appropriately, saying that everyone should be proud of their own heritage regardless of what it may be. Hers just so happens to be Slavic, so she takes pride in it.
Warren and even President Trump could learn something from Melania’s remarks. The White House has faced a great deal of medial scrutiny because of Trump’s perceived lack of gravitas. Instead of using her microphone to try to crush her political opponents, the First Lady gracefully found a way to raise the tenor of the entire discussion.
Melania’s cool-tempered attitude definitely suggests she can become a political force all on her own. After all, it would hardly mark her first career pivot. Check out 19 things you didn’t know about Melania Trump in the video below.
