The outrage mob of the left has struck once again, and this time their target is the popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson. After Media Matters – the George Soros funded political hit-job organization of the left wing – published quotes that Tucker Carlson made over a decade ago on a comedy-oriented radio show, it didn’t take long for our outrage culture to launch into hysterics.
While there’s no denying that some of Carlson’s comments were crass, comedy itself is often crass. The comments were made in a humorous fashion many years ago at a different point in Carlson’s career and at a different point in our society. Today, the only goal that Media Matters had in mind when they dug up and published these old quotes is discrediting a conservative commentator whose popularity is growing. The entire incident has been a politically motivated hit on Tucker Carlson, and nothing more.
Nevertheless, conservatives are always held to higher standard in 2019 America than anyone else, and Carlson’s past comments have now been dragged out into the spotlight for all the world to see.
