Today, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley is one of President Donald Trump’s most vocal supporters — but this wasn’t always the case.
During her time representing the United States at the United Nations, Haley fought for Trump’s pro-America policies with passion and determination, leading to some of the most memorable takedowns and rebukes in modern political history. Though she resigned from her position as the UN ambassador in October of 2018, Haley continues to be a staunch supporter of the President, and many predict that she will find her way into another position within the Trump administration at some point in the future.
Many of us remember when there was a time when Haley did not support Trump. During the primary elections, Haley voiced her disapproval of Trump and was willing to support almost any Republican candidate not named Donald Trump. Sometime between the primary and general election, though, Nikki Haley had a change of heart.
Appearing in an interview with Ben Shapiro, Haley took the time to explain what it was that changed her mind about Trump and why she is now one of his most staunch supporters.
