In South Africa, the deeply Marxist government has changed the laws in order to enable the seizure of farm land from farmers who are white.
The families who are having their land taken have been there for generations. Local activists and politicians say the whites are responsible for apartheid and the pain that came with it, even though no one living on those farms had anything to do with those now bygone policies.
Like any good leftist, those who want to take the land blame individuals for the deeds of their racial group, even if those individuals had nothing to do with it. The government has given the go ahead to gangs of thugs who have been killing the white farmers with impunity.
The murders are unspeakably brutal. Children are boiled alive, nailed to tables and raped. Women are raped and tortured in front of the husbands who are killed later. Torture is carried on for days sometimes. The farmers have special teams whose job it is to go into homes and clean out the bodies and the gore.
Well, the story has finally made mainstream media in the United States. But the hard left is decrying the coverage as racist.
