Trump Accuses the Media of Working With Democrats
The mainstream media coverage of the crisis on the border has, unsurprisingly, been heavily tilted in the Democrats’ favor. As if it wasn’t entirely obvious before, there’s little doubt at this point that the media is actively working to oppose Trump and his agenda by parroting the same talking points of the Democrats over and over again.
The barrage of media attacks against Trump and the border wall that he is fighting for have been nonstop ever since the government shutdown began. The media has argued Nancy Pelosi’s claim that the situation at the border is not a crisis, in spite of the terrible humanitarian situations, the flood of drugs coming over, the lives being lost, and more. The media has also argued that the government shutdown is Trump’s fault, in spite of the fact that only Congress truly has the ability to shut down the government. CNN even sent Jim Acosta to the border in an attempt to show that there was no crisis – a stunt that backfired and actually proved Trump’s point since Acosta visited an area where there was a wall and raved about how peaceful it was.
It’s difficult enough for Trump to deal with a Democratic party that refuses to work with him on vital issues. With the media in their pocket, though, the Democrats opposition efforts become all the more detrimental.
