In an op-ed that President Trump miraculously managed to get published in USA Today, the president presented American voters with a simple choice – we can either continue growing the economy and promoting American exceptionalism across the world, or we can hand over the reigns of power to socialist Democrats who intend to lead us down the same path that Venezuela took to destruction.
For those who aren’t familiar with the situation in Venezuela, the country’s economy is a far cry from something that any nation would want to replicate. Hyperinflation has made it so that a person’s paycheck is quite literally almost worthless by the time that they are able to cash it. Venezuelan citizens are starving in the streets, businesses are closing their doors, and only their politicians are enjoying lifestyles of comfort and excess. All of this is thanks entirely to the socialist policies that Venezuela adopted. Yet, somehow, Democrats in the United States are becoming more and more convinced that these same policies will provide the best path forward for our own country.
In November, American voters will have a choice – America or Venezuela. Which country you want to live in should dictate how you vote. Unless hyperinflation and a crumbling economy sound good to you, you won’t want to vote for a party that is copying the Venezuela playbook word for word.
