This Social Media Site Just Banned ALL Trump Supporters
In 2019, conservatives have become all too familiar with censorship. This is especially true when it comes to social media platforms, where conservatives risk being banned for simply stating their views.
It isn’t just major social media companies such as Facebook and Twitter that go out of their way to censor conservatives. Recently, a social media site dedicated to knitting has declared that anyone who expresses support for the President of the United States will be banned from the platform.
In the official explanation for this new policy, Ravelry explains that any support for Donald Trump is equivalent to support for white supremacy, and will not be tolerated on the website. This means that if a Ravelry member so much as says that they like the President, they are automatically banned from the platform.
This type of censorship certainly isn’t new, but it’s concerning nonetheless. We are already sliding full speed down a slippery slope of censorship that threatens to eliminate First Amendment rights as we know them. Ravelry is simply the latest example in what has become a very dangerous trend among social media companies.
