The Real Reason Why Hollywood HATES Middle America
Every year, Hollywood releases numerous films designed to cater to only a small population of coastal liberal elites. Despite almost always receiving high praise in the media, these films tend to tank at the box office.
Films geared toward the millions of conservative middle-class Americans, meanwhile, are exceedingly rare in spite of the fact that such films tend to make a lot of money when they are given the green light. If Middle America remains willing to line Hollywood’s pocket when given content that they can support and enjoy, why does Hollywood hate them so much?
The answer to this can largely be explained by the bubble that these Hollywood elites live in. Having spent their entire lives in an echo chamber of liberal thought, these Hollywood elites truly believe that the wealthiest regions of Los Angeles are a representation of the entire country. They prefer to see themselves and those like them as the majority and the “backward deplorables” in Middle America as the minority.
When box results prove this notion wrong time and time again, they simply turn a blind eye and continue bashing what could be a major new market for them to explore.
