The REAL Reason Behind Mass Shootings (It’s Not Guns — OR Video Games)

We had two mass shootings last week, one carried out by a left-wing extremist and one by a right-wing extremist- purportedly. But, we have lost sight of a number of important things that we should be keeping in mind.

First and foremost is the fact that, despite all of the damp-faced news coverage of the shootings, violent crime is at an all-time low in this country, per capita. Not only that, but misdiagnoses and cars kill far more people than guns every year, but we aren’t sanctioning careless doctors or Oldsmobile.

The second thing we should bear in mind is that the media is complicit in these crimes because the way they cover them encourages copycat shooters. What’s more, they know very well that they are being irresponsible by reporting the names of the shooters and lurid details of the shootings. But they do it anyway for ratings. That is criminal and should be punished severely.

Finally, we should all take a step back from politicizing these shootings. It only makes us look petty. The Left will do it no matter what because they are petty. So, we have no problem letting them trip on their own trousers. But we should know better. What’s more, we should know better than to blame other inanimate objects, like video games. Video games are probably a big part of the reason gun violence is down. More people are simulating it instead of doing it.

Here’s Paul Joseph Watson with more on the continuing ugliness.
