The Political Middle has Vanished in America, and the Left Killed It
The political left in this country has a purpose. Its purpose is to help identify the problems created by hierarchies of competence. The right also has a purpose- to produce, promote, and protect hierarchies of competence.
The right goes too far when its capacity for producing losers gets out of control. The left goes too far when it seeks to bring the winners down to the level of the losers. We may achieve some kind of equilibrium by optimizing each side to keep the other in check.
That equilibrium is precisely what the Founding Fathers envisioned with their unparalleled system of checks and balances.
The problem is we know too well how the right can get out of control, but we have no idea what it looks like when the left gets out of control. The left gets out of control when we place everyone on the same economic strata and enforce it with force. Unfortunately, we are not taught this in schools. For that reason, people who notice the danger of the left gone too far are considered fringe.
It’s called communism — and it’s killed over 100 million in the last 100 years.
The force required to make the left’s wet dream a reality is always embedded in their politics. Right now, with Trump Derangement Syndrome running wild- the violence of the left is thrown into sharp contrast.
Maxine Waters turned up the volume on the left-wing hate machine, and now things are worse.
